Painted Vein is the music project of the Italian (resident of Seattle, WA) musician, producer, and audio engineer Andrea Fox Volpato, who has spent the last 10 years brewing the material for his solo project by collaborating in writing, recording, and touring the world with bands from around the globe. From 2017 to 2022 Andrea was the lead guitarist and backing vocalist of the Italian band New Candys with whom he toured Europe, the UK, Australia, the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Balkans and opened tours for bands like the Dandy Warhols, Slowdive, Black Angels, and BJM. Furthermore he played in notorious festivals like Psycho Vegas, SXSW, Devilstone in Lithuania, and Levitation France.
In his studio he recorded, mixed and produced the last two studio albums of New Candys («Bleeding Magenta» and «Vyvyd»).
Andrea also recorded, mixed and produced the albums "Euphoric Recall" and "Jaywalker" of the Seattle artist MØAA and co-wrote with duet vocals on their hit single «X Marks». He then toured as the lead guitarist and vocalist across Europe where he shared the stage with Yves Tumor and played in festivals live Ypsigrock in Sicily and MIL in Lisbon, as well as toured several times the United States including an official showcase at SXSW.
