Bürgerhaus Seepark
The short story collection On the Move: Migration and Cross-Cultural Encounters is part of the Abitur in English in Baden-Württemberg from 2025 on. In cooperation with the Carl-Schurz-Haus, the American Drama Group Europe will bring the short stories to life on the stage of the Bürgerhaus Seepark in March 2025.
In the eight impressive short stories, people from different countries of origin and generations deal with their individual experiences of searching for and finding a new home. The stories describe migration and the various stages of the migration process in an up-close and touching way. They tell of joy and pain, hope and despair, isolation and new connections that arise when arriving in a foreign country, as well as of intercultural encounters and the generational identity and cultural challenges that accompany them.
