«The Fruits of our Trees» creates a space full of potential for intimacy. Audiences enter this space, which resembles another universe: time seems to move differently, and one's own body may initially feel unfamiliar - yet also safe - because this space belongs to those who created it. Together with her performers, Sahra Abbassi explores intimacy and its potential within self-determined spaces created by BIPoC FLINTA individuals. How are stories shared? How do we listen to each other, hold one another, sing and dance together - and how does the performer stay grounded within themselves throughout? Forms of expression from contemporary dance and ballroom culture come together to create an intimate atmosphere between the performers and with the audience.
